[09:02]<+camerongray> hey jacky
[09:03]<@jacky> camerongray: Hello
[09:03]<+camerongray> How's everything>
[09:04]<@jacky> ok
[09:04]<@jacky> still chilly though
[09:04]<@jacky> where is Spring??
[09:04]<@jacky> heh
[09:04]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah, same here - Freezing!
[09:04]<@jacky> how's you?
[09:04]<+camerongray> Good thanks
[09:04]<+camerongray> Feet still in agony after the Informatics ceilidh last night :P
[09:05]<@jacky> ok.. I guess
[09:05]<@jacky> I have no idea what you are talking about...
[09:05]<@jacky> heh
[09:05]<+camerongray> Ahh...
[09:05]<+camerongray> Informatics = The subject I study (Basically computer science)
[09:06]<@jacky> and you type with your toes?
[09:06]<@jacky> heheeh
[09:06]<+camerongray> Ceilidh = Traditional scottish dance which basically means trying to follow instructions on what to do and failing :P
[09:06]<@jacky> oh
[09:06]<@jacky> ok
[09:06]<@jacky> no wonder I was lost
[09:06]<+camerongray> Or in my case, finding that my shoes didn't grip to the floor properly :P
[09:06]<@jacky> heheeh
[09:06]<@jacky> did the lack of traction have anything to do with being lubricated by alcohol?
[09:07]<+camerongray> hahaha, they had no grip at all :P
[09:07]<@jacky> no grip? but plenty of alcohol??
[09:07]<@jacky> heh
[09:07]<+camerongray> Had to grab on to a lectern at one point to stop myself from slideing into the wall
[09:07]<+camerongray> hahaha, not too much
[09:08]<Erika> hi
[09:08]<@jacky> umm... "not too much" ... isn't that a lofty range to ever reach?
[09:08]<@jacky> heheeh
[09:08]<+camerongray> ha!
[09:08]<@jacky> thought so
[09:08]<@jacky> :)
[09:08]<+camerongray> There were a couple of other people in highland dress so they were sliding all over the place too!
[09:09]<@jacky> highland dress makes you slide?
[09:09]<+camerongray> The shoes do
[09:09]<@jacky> ... because ... ?
[09:09]<+camerongray> Completely flat with no grip at all
[09:09]<+camerongray> And the floor was polished
[09:10]<@jacky> heh
[09:10]<@jacky> special shoes?
[09:10]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:10]<+camerongray> Very traditional
[09:10]<@jacky> interesting
[09:11]<+camerongray> Yeah, the laces wrap round you leg :P
[09:11]<@jacky> like a Roman?
[09:11]<+camerongray> lol, not really :P
[09:12]<+camerongray> Gah, why don't I have any photos
[09:12]<@jacky> uh...
[09:12]<@jacky> that's ok
[09:12]<+camerongray> lol
[09:12]<@jacky> we might not be able to stand it
[09:12]<@jacky> heheheeh
[09:12]<+camerongray> hehehe
[09:12]<+camerongray> There is one but it's on Facebook, and I know your feelings about that webstie
[09:12]<+camerongray> website*
[09:13]<@jacky> no bad feelings... just not my thing
[09:13]<+camerongray> yeah
[09:13]<@jacky> what tickles me... is when people do dumb stuff... like post details of their personal lives on the internet, then whine about it
[09:13]<@jacky> heheheeheh
[09:13]<+camerongray> Oh yeah, exactly!
[09:14]<@jacky> since I have sense enough to not post anything about myself, .... Facebook just ain't for me
[09:14]<@jacky> :)
[09:14]<+camerongray> I don't really post much but for me it's how people communicate
[09:14]<@jacky> by posting details about themselves!
[09:14]<@jacky> starting with their names and locations!
[09:14]<@jacky> heheheehe
[09:15]<+camerongray> lol, everyone knows my name
[09:15]<+camerongray> And with the right knowhow could find where I am :P
[09:15]<@jacky> your choice
[09:15]<@jacky> :)
[09:16]<@jacky> sure... just use Facebook
[09:16]<@jacky> heh
[09:16]<+camerongray> yeah - I'm careful with privacy settings though so I have to approve people
[09:16]<@jacky> what did you mean by "right know how" then?
[09:18]<@jacky> heh
[09:18]<@jacky> !w crapo
[09:18]<@jacky> that's chilly for us, for this time of year
[09:18]<@jacky> and they are saying a chance of snow tomorrow!!
[09:18]<+camerongray> !w Edinburgh, UKL
[09:19]<+camerongray> !w Edinburgh, UK
[09:19]<+camerongray> And there's snow lying here
[09:19]<@jacky> a little chillier than here
[09:20]<@jacky> is that about your normal though, for this time of year?
[09:23]<+camerongray> Not really, pretty cold
[09:23]<@jacky> a friend said to me the other day... just watch, it will be cold, cold, cold... the whamo! 85 degrees
[09:23]<@jacky> no in-between
[09:23]<@jacky> hehe
[09:24]<+camerongray> Was thankful for it last night, the AC in the hall last night wasn't high enough so we had to keep going outside so we didn't pass out
[09:24]<@jacky> huh?
[09:25]<+camerongray> At the cielidh, got stupidly hot so being cold outside was a bonus
[09:25]<@jacky> you have air condiitioning on? in March?
[09:26]<+camerongray> For the ceilidh yeah - Otherwise people *would* pass out
[09:27]<@jacky> wow
[09:27]<@jacky> save the money... just open the door
[09:27]<@jacky> heehhee
[09:27]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[09:27]<+camerongray> That's the problem, there was no outside doors or even openable windows in this room
[09:27]<@jacky> no doors?
[09:27]<@jacky> how did you get in?
[09:28]<@jacky> :)
[09:28]<+camerongray> There was one but just to another room
[09:28]<@jacky> heh
[09:28]<@jacky> you people and your castles....
[09:28]<@jacky> sigh
[09:28]<+camerongray> lol - This was in the big informatics research building
[09:28]<@jacky> is that what you call castles these days?
[09:28]<@jacky> <g>
[09:29]<+camerongray> lol! http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Informatics_Forum_University_of_Edinburgh.JPG
[09:29]<@jacky> very modern look (for a castle)
[09:30]<+camerongray> lol!
[09:31]<+camerongray> There's only 7 castles in Edinburgh :P
[09:32] * Tux2 (Tux2@mib-3C60BF5B.hlrn.qwest.net) Quit (Quit: Leaving)
[09:32]<+camerongray> Most of the people there had no idea how hot the people in kilts were getting and couldn't work out why we kept running outside
[09:32]<@jacky> are you all making them into condo's ?
[09:32]<@jacky> kilts are hot?
[09:32]<+camerongray> At one point during a break we ran along to a supermarket and bought ice lollys :P
[09:32]<+camerongray> Yeah, ridiculously hot
[09:32]<@jacky> they look to be well ventilated... heheeheh
[09:32]<+camerongray> lol, very thick though
[09:33]<@jacky> wool?
[09:33]<+camerongray> Yeah - 8lbs of it
[09:34]<@jacky> yep.. that's heavy
[09:34]<+camerongray> yep
[09:34]<@jacky> probably weighs a lot more, if somebody spills beer on it, huh?
[09:34]<+camerongray> HAHAHA!
[09:34] * Tux2 (Tux2@mib-3C60BF5B.hlrn.qwest.net) has joined #glitchpc
[09:35]<+camerongray> That's my biggest fear - Costs a fortune to clean or repair
[09:35] * ChanbotVI sets mode: +v Tux2
[09:35]<@jacky> scares the sheep too
[09:35]<+camerongray> lol
[09:36]<+camerongray> There's very few people who know how to make and repair them now
[09:36]<@jacky> and they live in the castles?
[09:36]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[09:37]<@jacky> :)
[09:38]<+camerongray> The problem with wearing a kilt as a cielidh is that everyone assumes you know what you are doing, I haven't got a clue!
[09:38]<@jacky> add beer.
[09:38]<+camerongray> lol
[09:38]<@jacky> you won't mind
[09:38]<@jacky> heheeh
[09:39]<+camerongray> It's very fun though "Be careful at this bit or you'll knock someone's teeth out"
[09:39]<@jacky> if you do mind... repeat as necessary
[09:39]<@jacky> "Be careful at this bit or you'll knock someone's teeth out" <<< I thought you all called that "rugby"
[09:39]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[09:43]<+camerongray> Just saw this for my calculus online test " Online Homework 9 has a first question that is intended to give everyone free 10 points - you just have to enter "pi". If Maple TA does not recognize your answer as correct, no need to email us - we will adjust the grade for everyone manually next week. -Arend"
[09:43]<+camerongray> HA! The question is "Using the instructions on the TA syntax sheet, enter an expression for pi"
[09:44]<@jacky> wow
[09:44]<+camerongray> People obvously can't work it :P
[09:44]<@jacky> II
[09:45]<+camerongray> You do have to enter complex mathematical expressions into a text box but still...
[09:45]<@jacky> didn't I explain that complex stuff to you, just the other day?
[09:45]<+camerongray> lol, not sure
[09:45]<@jacky> pi r round, cornbread r square
[09:45]<+camerongray> hahahha
[09:45]<+camerongray> I really hope we have the crazy Russian lectuerer again, he had the best accent ever!
[09:46]<@jacky> wear your KGB hat
[09:46]<+camerongray> You call this the "squeeze theorem", stupid name, in Russia this called the "theory of two police officers and criminal"
[09:46]<@jacky> har
[09:47]<+camerongray> Then his phone went off "Hi, I in lecture, bye"
[09:47]<@jacky> heh
[09:50]<+camerongray> I wish they recorded the maths lectures, they only record the informatics ones though
[09:51]<@jacky> who is "they"?
[09:51]<+camerongray> the uni
[09:51]<@jacky> record it yourself....
[09:51]<+camerongray> lol
[09:51]<+camerongray> They have cameras installed and they record on a timer
[09:51]<+camerongray> Someone just needs to decide "Oh, why don't we record the maths lectures"
[09:51]<@jacky> watching for criminals and pervs?
[09:51]<@jacky> sigh...
[09:51]<+camerongray> hahaha
[09:55]<+camerongray> Nice! They recorded the one where the lectuer had his trousers tucked into his socks
[09:55]<+camerongray> They were do distracting, one you spotted them you couldn't take him seriously anymore
[09:56]<@jacky> that's downright strange
[09:56]<@jacky> why would he do that?
[09:56]<+camerongray> yeah :P
[10:01]<+camerongray> Found the lecture: http://groups.inf.ed.ac.uk/vision/VIDEO/2012/inf1op.htm
[10:01]<+camerongray> But his socks are pretty small :P
[10:03]<@jacky> bear with me... other chat
[10:03]<@jacky> sorry
[10:04]<@jacky> and script blocker, etc. heh
[10:04]<+camerongray> lol
[10:04]<+camerongray> Oh, I see me in that video
[10:04]<@jacky> too small to see
[10:04]<+camerongray> Laptop nearest the front on the left
[10:04]<@jacky> is there a trick to it?
[10:05]<+camerongray> There is the "fs" button to make it fullscreen
[10:05]<+camerongray> Actually. I think my friend took a photo
[10:05]<+camerongray> Ahh, here we go: https://twitter.com/ThoobTheNoob/status/313666273609400320/photo/1
[10:05]<@jacky> FS blew it up, all right
[10:06]<@jacky> right off the screen
[10:06]<+camerongray> ahh
[10:06]<+camerongray> hahaa
[10:06]<@jacky> <+camerongray> Oh, I see me in that video <<< what is you didn't want to be on the internet?
[10:06]<@jacky> where do they get that right?
[10:07]<+camerongray> lol, Well, you can see my screen
[10:07]<@jacky> I can't
[10:08]<@jacky> I did see the pic of the teacher... strange...
[10:08]<+camerongray> You can't see the video?
[10:09]<@jacky> <@jacky> right off the screen
[10:09]<+camerongray> ahh, odd
[10:13]<@jacky> don't know...
[10:13]<+camerongray> Yeah, the uni systems never work properly :P
[10:13]<@jacky> heh
[10:13]<@jacky> it works ok for you though?
[10:14]<+camerongray> Yeah, but it's pretty buggy
[10:14]<@jacky> they need somebody that knows something about computers
[10:14]<@jacky> oh!
[10:14]<@jacky> wait
[10:14]<@jacky> they just TEACH it
[10:14]<+camerongray> "Due to a cooling fault in the server room, DICE (informatics computing environment) services may fail at any point without warning, please save work regularly"
[10:16]<@jacky> <ahem> ... like I said earlier... it applies here too... open the door
[10:16]<@jacky> and these people are supposed to be smart?
[10:16]<@jacky> hehhe
[10:16]<+camerongray> hehehe
[10:16]<+camerongray> That was probably their "tempoary measures"
[10:17]<@jacky> make it permanent... nail the door open
[10:17]<@jacky> heh
[10:17]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[10:17]<@jacky> this ain't rocket science
[10:17]<@jacky> :)
[10:17]<+camerongray> lol
[10:18]<@jacky> then again, I have sense enough to know how to wear my socks
[10:18]<@jacky> too
[10:18]<+camerongray> yeah - we were discussing that I would have been able to solve my linux problems if I grew a beard and wore socks with sandals
[10:20]<@jacky> you don't have a beard and sandals?
[10:20]<@jacky> I thought that everybody that wears kilts did.....
[10:20]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[10:21]<@jacky> make a note of that
[10:21]<@jacky> keep it for the next costume party
[10:21]<@jacky> hehehe
[10:21]<+camerongray> lol! I don't wear my kilt that much :P
[10:21]<@jacky> you wear other peoples kilts then?
[10:21]<@jacky> <g>
[10:21]<+camerongray> ha!
[10:22]<+camerongray> At the moment it's worked out to £200 per time i've worn it :P
[10:22]<@jacky> wow
[10:22]<@jacky> how many times is that?
[10:22]<+camerongray> 5 :P
[10:22]<+camerongray> In like a year
[10:22]<@jacky> you paid 1522.80 US Dollar for some sheep fur???
[10:22]<@jacky> wow
[10:23]<+camerongray> hahaha, well, that was for everything, the kilt itself was around £500
[10:24]<@jacky> what is everything?
[10:24]<+camerongray> Shirt, shoes, socks, flashes, sporran (bit at the front), sgian dubh (dagger)
[10:24]<@jacky> flashes?
[10:25]<+camerongray> bit that hangs down on the outside of the socks
[10:25]<@jacky> whew
[10:25]<@jacky> is the dagger real?
[10:25]<+camerongray> I have two, one real, one not
[10:25]<@jacky> for that kind of money... I want it to be real
[10:25]<@jacky> hehe
[10:26]<@jacky> what is the not real one? plastic?
[10:26]<+camerongray> Yeah
[10:26]<+camerongray> It was cheap but the real one wasn't
[10:26]<+camerongray> And it's sharp - I didn't at all go "this doesn't look sharp *stabs hand* ouch!"
[10:26]<@jacky> heh
[10:27]<@jacky> I still have a hunting knife my father gave me... oh... over 40 years ago, I guess
[10:27]<@jacky> used it just a couple months ago
[10:27]<@jacky> yes... it will cut you
[10:27]<@jacky> :)
[10:27]<@jacky> how long is a dagger?
[10:27]<@jacky> are they sharp on both sides?
[10:28]<+camerongray> hmm, 3" or so
[10:28]<@jacky> oh? I would have thought them to be more like 6 inches
[10:28]<+camerongray> Not sharp on the sides hence why I didn't think it was sharp but very pointy at the end
[10:28]<@jacky> just for poking?
[10:28]<@jacky> but only 3 inches deep? ... interesting
[10:28]<+camerongray> lol, making a very deep wide hole :P
[10:29]<@jacky> 3 inches isn't deep
[10:29]<@jacky> heh
[10:29]<+camerongray> Yeah, but "sgian dubh" translates to "hidden knife" as in you keep it in your sock
[10:29]<@jacky> ah
[10:29]<@jacky> I prefer "shotgun in hand"
[10:29]<@jacky> prevents most fights, before they start
[10:29]<@jacky> hehe
[10:30]<@jacky> do you ever poke yourself in the leg?
[10:30]<+camerongray> lol, it has a cover
[10:31]<@jacky> no fun
[10:31]<@jacky> heh
[10:31]<+camerongray> lol, not fun without having the risk of someone asking "why's your leg bleeding"
[10:31]<@jacky> makes your socks stay up, when they stick
[10:32]<+camerongray> hahaha
[10:32]<@jacky> heh
[10:32]<@jacky> makes you all Christmas-y looking.... red and green
[10:36]<@jacky>
[10:36]<@jacky> might be back later...
[10:36]<@jacky> see you later
[10:36]<@jacky> I enjoyed the joking
[10:36]<+camerongray> HAHAHA!
[10:36]<@jacky> :)
[10:36]<+camerongray> lol, cya

[14:38]<Kevin> How long did you have it for? O.O
[14:38]<@Mulreay> The replacement for about a 3 weeks
[14:39]<@Mulreay> Will have to phone Amazon again tomorrow to be fair there return policy is pretty cool. They send you a replacement the next day and then you send yours back after you receive them. But starting to think these headphones are not for me
[14:40]<Kevin> LOL yeah, that's nice, at least you don't have to send them in first and be without them that whole time
[14:40]<Kevin> I've had to do something like that before and was not pleased
[14:42]<@Mulreay> The last time they failed the wire became loose out of the sound card/equaliser box thingy.. this time they just rattle on one side when you move your head fast. For the money I paid though I want them to be perfect
[14:44]<Kevin> I would as well, didn't you pay over $100 for those? o.O
[14:44]<@Mulreay> £120 so about $180
[14:44]<Kevin> Oh jesus
[14:45]<@Mulreay> http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gaming-audio/razer-megalodon
[14:46]<Kevin> I bought a mouse from them a while ago, forgot they made headsets
[14:46]<@Mulreay> They make some cool stuff to be fair
[14:47]<Kevin> I got the 2013 model of their Deathadder mouse, it's been pretty awesome
[14:48]<@Mulreay> nice
[14:48]<Kevin> I nearly was going to get a Logitech G500, but learned it had some acceleration issues on lower DPIs when moving very quickly, put me off from it o.O
[14:50]<@Mulreay> Had a few logitech mice and gamepads over the years.. quite reliable stuff but very standard in ability mostly
[14:52]<Kevin> My headphones have always went out because of the wires connecting to the ear pieces, even the pair of Grados I had, got a full refund on them though o.O
[14:52]<Kevin> Doesn't seem like that will be an issue with my current pair because of the way the wire connects, being removeable and all
[14:53]<@Mulreay> Yeah, nothing worse than that feeling when your leaning on your cable then move to the side to feel the headset be wrenched for yrom your head. Knowing that eventually if you keep doing that they will break
[14:54]<Kevin> Oh god >.>
[14:54]<Kevin> That's the cable and headphones: http://www.soundprofessionals.com/mas_assets/full/ATH-M50s-LE-R.jpg
[14:55]<Kevin> Before that I used these: http://www.turntableneedles.com/assets/images/grado-sr60i.png
[14:55]<Kevin> The sound was good, but some of the design aspects really bothered the hell out of me
[14:56]<Kevin> Like the fact that the ear pieces rotated fully around with no limits, which would just twist the cord up. And they were open-ear, so it's not as if turning them around would let you hear better out of one ear
[14:56]<Kevin> If it wasn't for the odd twisting they did, I'm sure the cord probably wouldn't have broke o.O
[15:16]<+camerongray> Ahh, I just have CX300s :P

[16:36]<@BC_Programming> I did that when I booked it (heh) into my copied SSP world... but I managed to escape by using the nether portal
[16:37]<@Mulreay> heh, yeah
[16:37]<@BC_Programming> I stole stuff from myself, it felt awkward
[16:37]<@Mulreay> lol
[16:38]<@BC_Programming> the fact that mystcraft decided the world should have two suns and two moons and a green sky was not encouraging either
[16:44]<@Mulreay> Trying to picture that in my mind irl...

[17:49]<@BC_Programming> "Can you make it so that you can set a time interval as to when the chests re generate?"
[18:16]<@BC_Programming> I'm thinking I could actually do that pretty easily, just hook chest open/close and repopulate a chest some interval after a player closes it, as long as no other players open it

[22:34]<@BC_Programming> hmm so I had the choice: either my plugin can simply run the repopulation logic in it's entirety that it does when the game begins at a given interval, or, it can hook inventory open and close events and repopulate a chest that is accessed a given interval after it is last closed
[22:34]<@BC_Programming> I went with the latter, still have to test it though
[22:37]<@BC_Programming> I was thinking of a whacky feature where it also told you who had used the chest recently when you opened it
[22:37]<@BC_Programming> so you could use it to track people or something
